Just for Fun

Singer/group: Jimmy Buffett, Casting Crowns, Third Day, MercyMe, Newsong
Most played song in ipod: Come Monday, Jimmy Buffett…I often play it after the race when I’m waiting in my seat for the plane to take off on Sunday nights. It calms me down after a very chaotic race day. It’s my sign I’m headed home after a long weekend. I’m Letting Go and Free To Be Me both by Francesca Battistelli are among my top favs.

What most fans don’t know about Wendy: I feed the 6 or 7 deer in my backyard and I love our deer camera that snaps photos of them when I‘m gone. I’m a city girl born and raised in Chicago. And now that I live in the country, nature fascinates me!! My husband deer hunts, but we have an agreement he won’t hurt my furry neighbors.
Fav part of job: the friendships I have made, things I get to see and do because of my work
Least fav part of job: navigating around a different city every week. I think I do well, but it can get frustrating if you get lost. Thank goodness for GPS!

Most intriguing driver interview: Ryan Newman…he’s very analytical. I am always on my toes with him.
Fav part of NASCAR Raceday: the grid walk at the end of the show. It’s unscripted and challenging.
Hardest part of NASCAR Raceday: The Real Deal questions. I put a lot of heart and soul into those questions each week. Some are written, some are off the cuff. My producer John Morris edits out what he doesn’t like!
