Wendy Venturini to debut new podcast ‘Racing Home’, expand Co-Anchor role with Performance Racing Network in 2014
Concord, N.C. (January 28, 2014) – The Performance Racing Network (PRN) announced today the launch of “Racing Home” with Wendy Venturini and her expanded role with the network for 2014. The new web series that will debut January 30 on GoPRN.com and iTunes will feature behind-the-scenes interviews focusing on the NASCAR family and its members.
The five minute podcast will feature veteran NASCAR reporter Wendy Venturini interviewing members of the NASCAR family including:
· Samantha Busch, wife of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver Kyle Busch
· Delana Harvick, wife of NSCS driver Kevin Harvick
· Greg Newman, father of NSCS driver Ryan Newman
· Melanie Self, women’s and children’s director at Motor Racing Outreach
Venturini knows a thing or two about being a part of the NASCAR family and has been around the sport since she was young, following her father as he competed in the NSCS and the ARCA Re/Max Series. In addition to her NASCAR family roots, Venturini also boasts a long and impressive resume covering the sport for DirecTV, SPEED, FoxSports1 and PRN.
Thanks for stopping by! First off, I want to thank the Venturini fans who have followed my family’s racing legacy throughout the years. I am still amazed by the number of you who take the time to write a letter or send a photo
This site is a place to learn a little bit more about my family, check out my TV schedule or just browse through photos. I am truly blessed to be able to continue in a long family tradition of racing and honored to give you a home base. I would be remiss not to take the time to thank a few people for helping me along the way.
Thank you to the loyal ARCA and NASCAR viewers for inviting me into your living rooms any given weekend. Thanks to NASCAR Productions for letting me grow within the company and to the former SPEED TV for taking a chance on me, but mostly for believing in me.
I want to thank ALL of my family and friends for their encouragement and for always watching my programs even if they are not interested.
I would not enjoy life to the fullest if it wasn’t for my husband, Jarrad, his gracious heart, unwavering support and true understanding of life on the road.
I am especially grateful for my brother, Billy, for giving me the drive to do better; to my dad, for teaching me the value of being an honest and fair business woman in this industry; and to my mom, for always reminding me as a child never to let my gender stand in the way of my goals.
I am a much better person to have all of you in my life. Enjoy the next few pages!
