Girls Have at It: The Women of NASCAR to Race in Better Half Dash Before Bank of America 500

The guys will step aside as the ladies put on the firesuits for an all-out, girls-have-at-it battle when the inaugural Better Half Dash gets underway at Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of the Bank of America 500 pre-race activities on Oct. 15.

The charity race, supporting Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) and Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC), will pit the women of NASCAR against each other in Bandolero cars provided by U.S. Legend Cars International on the speedway’s frontstretch quarter-mile oval.

Participants already entered in the Better Half Dash include Katie Kenseth, wife of 2003 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Matt Kenseth; Angie Skinner, wife of 1995 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Mike Skinner; and SPEED television personality Wendy Venturini. Additionally, Kelley Earnhardt, general manager and co-owner of Junior Motorsports, will wave the green flag for the event. READ MORE >>

Thanks for stopping by! After some thought (and a whole lot of convincing from friends and family), I finally decided to step into the modern-day era and create a website. I want to thank all of the Venturini fans who have followed my family throughout the years. I am still amazed by the number of you who take the time to write a letter or send a photo.

This site is a place to learn a little bit more about my family, check out my TV schedule or just browse through photos.  I am truly blessed to be able to continue in a long family tradition of racing and honored to give you a home base.  I will never forget my roots and how it can all be taken away in an instant. I would be remiss not to take the time to thank a few people for helping me along the way.

Thank you to the loyal ARCA and NASCAR Raceday viewers for allowing me to do what I love. Thanks to NASCAR Images for letting me grow within the company and to SPEED for taking a chance on me, but mostly for believing in me.

I want to thank ALL of my family and friends for their encouragement and for always watching my programs even if they are not interested. :)

I would not enjoy life to the fullest if it wasn’t for Jarrad, his gracious heart, unwavering support and true understanding of life on the road.

I am especially grateful for my brother, Billy, for giving me the drive to do better; to my dad, for teaching me the value of being an honest and fair business woman in this industry; and to my mom, for always reminding me as a child never to let my gender stand in the way of my goals.

I am a much better person to have all of you in my life. Enjoy the next few pages!

Kindest regards,
