Welcome!
Better Half Dash Race Returns with Ladies of NASCAR, Venturini Looks For Redemption
Girls, have at it! When racing returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 11, the ladies of NASCAR will add their own element of speed, danger and fun to Bank of America 500 Week when they take to the frontstretch quarter-mile for the second annual Better Half Dash on Bojangles’ Pole Night.
The charity race, supporting Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) and Speedway Children’s Charities, will pit the women of NASCAR against each other in Bandolero race cars provided by U.S. Legend Cars International.
SPEED Channel’s Wendy Venturini Wins Pole at Second Annual Better Half Dash
“Drive it like you stole it.” Wendy Venturini took the words on her shirt to heart and claimed the pole position for the second annual Better Half Dash during a wet and rainy qualifying session at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday.
Venturini, a motorsports analyst for SPEED Channel, outpaced Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins Pastrana, wife of NASCAR driver Travis Pastrana, by 0.069 seconds to claim the top spot in Thursday’s 25-lap charity Bandolero race around the frontstretch quarter-mile oval.
Thanks for stopping by! After some thought (and a whole lot of convincing from friends and family), I finally decided to step into the modern-day era and create a website. I want to thank all of the Venturini fans who have followed my family throughout the years. I am still amazed by the number of you who take the time to write a letter or send a photo.
This site is a place to learn a little bit more about my family, check out my TV schedule or just browse through photos. I am truly blessed to be able to continue in a long family tradition of racing and honored to give you a home base. I will never forget my roots and how it can all be taken away in an instant. I would be remiss not to take the time to thank a few people for helping me along the way.
Thank you to the loyal ARCA and NASCAR Raceday viewers for allowing me to do what I love. Thanks to NASCAR Images for letting me grow within the company and to SPEED for taking a chance on me, but mostly for believing in me.
I want to thank ALL of my family and friends for their encouragement and for always watching my programs even if they are not interested.
I would not enjoy life to the fullest if it wasn’t for Jarrad, his gracious heart, unwavering support and true understanding of life on the road.
I am especially grateful for my brother, Billy, for giving me the drive to do better; to my dad, for teaching me the value of being an honest and fair business woman in this industry; and to my mom, for always reminding me as a child never to let my gender stand in the way of my goals.
I am a much better person to have all of you in my life. Enjoy the next few pages!
Kindest regards,
